With the new operating system from Apple, there is also a new feature for printers. The application called AirPrint, which with iPhone, iPod or other products, documents can be printed directly via WLAN. For this, one needs only the appropriate printer.

Not all printers can be connected with the new AirPrint feature of Apple. Special models are adapted to receive the documents. An example is the HP Envy. Other printer models from HP can offer the new function, for example, via an update. However, not every old printer must now be discarded. This is a free utility from Apple, which responds to certain functions and settings of the printer, and these changes accordingly. The program can be downloaded for free and saved on the computer. All other steps explain how to automatically and within a few minutes is also the old printer for this system ready for use.

The printer should be used with AirPrint must be added first. Then the first test run can start. The documents can be transferred from the iPhone, iPod or iPad.
